"A house is imagined as a vertical being.", we visualize our homes as building up in floors. As humans ourselves we grow vertical as well. When it comes to the idea of reality, do we really understand it or do we tell ourselves that what we are seeing is the limit that we are able to see? Comparing reality to the imagination, truth is always going to be what we are seeing, even if it is not physically there it will always be OUR truth. When using the cellar and the attic to represent our fears, I see that as a way to represent the fear that is irrational and our mind makes up (attic), and the fear that is before us that we walk into (cellar) and are grounded in.
